Robert Lee Williams, age 90, of 301 Fox Run Drive, Galax, VA, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the Grayson Nursing Center, Independence, VA.

Mr. Williams was born March 8, 1921 in Grayson County, VA to George W. & Lola Hale Wiliams.

He is survived by his wife, Rubye Williams of the home; son & daughter-in-law, Robert Earl (Bobby) and Carol Williams, Independence, VA; brother, Hobert Williams, Galax, VA; grandchildren and spouses,
Resa & Steve Nichols, Karen & Chris Porter, Kristin & Larry Brown, Richmond, VA; Tim & Melissa Wiliams; Hunter Bowers and Erin Bowers; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Tuesday from one until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family request all food be taken to the Locust Grove Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
The doors will open Tuesday morning at 8:00 AM.
