Robert Thomas Wilson age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Wilson was born in Galax, Virginia on February 19, 1931 to Paul David and Roberta Combs Wilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Gentry and a brother Richard Wilson.

Mr. Wilson proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Cumming Wilson of Galax, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law Kevin and Karan H. Wilson of Richmond, Virginia; Keith and Rachel Wilson of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; four grandchildren Troy Wilson, Rob Wilson, Erin Wilson and Isabel Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Galax Presbyterian Church with Dr. Tom Whartenby officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18th from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Galax Presbyterian Church.
