Robert "Bob" Roy Whitaker age 46 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Bob was born on August 14, 1967 in Sparta, North Carolina to Robert Lee and Kathy Bobbitt Whitaker.
He is survived by his wife Margie Whitaker; son Robert Matthew Whitaker of Galax, Virginia; father Donald Combs of Galax, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law Sandra Michelle Bowers of Fries, Virginia; Denise and Jamie Boyles of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Haga and the Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at the Grace Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for funeral expense.
