Robert Lee "RL" Todd, age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Todd was born March 15, 1933 in Alleghany County, NC to Kyle & Dora Cox Todd. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Rex Todd and Herbert Todd.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Smith Todd of the home, daughter Patricia "Trish" T. Jones and Jeff Wolford; son & daughter-in-law, Robert L. "Bobby" Todd, Jr. and Faye of Galax, VA; son, Timothy Scott Todd & fiancé, Teresa Osborne of Independence, VA; sister & brother-in-law, Juanita & Paul McMurray of Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Shannon Phipps & husband, Brian, Carlie Todd, Leslie Jones & fiancé Mickey Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mason, Austin & Adriana; sister-in-law Virginia Carr; several nieces & nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Sammy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Crab Creek Cemetery, Alleghany County, NC. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 PM Tuesday preceding the funeral service at Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW #7726.
