Robert Lee Reavis, Sr. age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Reavis was born in Galax, Virginia on July 12, 1941 to John W. and Joyce Turney Reavis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother John W. (Joe) Reavis and a brother-in-law Steve McMillian.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines.

He is survived by his wife Joyce R. Reavis; sons and daughters-in-law Robby and Stacey Reavis; John and Valerie Reavis all of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren Levi Reavis, Zackery Reavis, Hayley Reavis and Abbey Reavis; sisters and brothers-in-law Jeanne and Edmond Busic of McMinnville, Tennessee; Sandy McMillian of Cumming, Georgia; Pat Reavis and Barney Wilson of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday April 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Rodney Christman and Larry Diamond officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
