Robert Ray Hill better known as Bobby Hill age 78 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday January 20, 2022 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Bobby was born in Fries, Virginia on September 28, 1943 to Andrew Jackson and Mary Edith Dowling Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette "Judy" Evon Waller Hill and sister Delores "Peanut" Patton.

He is survived by his son Tim Hill of Hillsville, Virginia; three grandchildren Kari Hill of Fries, Virginia; Casey Hill of Woodlawn, Virginia; Corey Hill of Fries, Virginia; four great-grandchildren; Asia Hill; Alyce Leary; Apiphany Leary all of Fries, Virginia; Drustin Hill of Woodlawn, Virginia; half-sisters Diane Hill Lundy and Angela Hill Mabe; special friends Mark and Mary Williams; Jill Pack Hill.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church
