Robert Lee Ramey age 93 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mr. Ramey was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on January 15, 1921 to William Jasper and Audia Frost Ramey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Wilma Craven and two brothers Harold Ramey and William (Bill) Ramey.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lois Wilson Ramey of Galax, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Judy Isom of Fries, Virginia; Betty and Randy Andrews of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; five grandchildren Tim Isom; Steve (Marie) Isom; Kevin (Donna) Jenkins; Jeff (Jami) Jenkins; Carrie (Andy) Snipes; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Carol Dean Bartlett of Burlington, North Carolina; Linda and David Morris of Roanoke, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Gary Wilson and Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
