Robert "Mitch" Mitchell Hill, age 61, of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday December 10, 2022 in Galax Nursing & Rehab.

Robert was born on March 22, 1961 in Galax, Virginia to the late Grady Marion and Alma Ruth Johnson Hill. He was also preceded in death by his son Bobby Hill; sister Becky Absher; and brother Craig Hill.

He is survived by his granddaughters Kayli Hill and Skylar Hill of Thomasville, North Carolina; sister and brother-in-law Diana and Lynwood Ray of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Mike and Robin Hill of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Steve and Kim Hill of Perryville, Maryland; sister-in-law Sue Hill of Thomasville, North Carolina; niece Amber Ray of Galax, Virginia as well as several other nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 2:30PM in the McKenzie Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Isom officiating with burial to follow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
