Rev. Robert Floyd McLean, age 76, Galax, VA, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at the Grayson Rehabilitation Center, Independence, VA.

Mr. McLean was born in Alleghany County, NC, March 18, 1941 to John & Hallie Fortner McLean.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Hodge McLean, second wife, Shelby Crowder McLean, brothers, Ed, RJ, Carl & Junior McLean, sisters, Virgie Johnson, Gladys Maines and Hazel Rutherford.

He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Tammie & Tracy Smith, Galax, VA; brother & sister-in-law, Young and Earline McLean, Galax, VA, sister, Jean Wooten, Sparta, NC, granddaughter, Amy Smith, Galax, VA, step-daughter and son-in-law, Connie & Jody Whittington, Galax, VA, step-daughter-in-law, Carol Crowder, Galax, VA, five step-grandchildren and twelve step-great-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, VA at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Joe Warren and the Rev. J.R. Bowers.

Military rites will be performed by the Hillsville VFW #1115.
