Robert Jackson "Bobby" Leonard age 67 of Galax, Va. passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Bobby was born in Carroll County, Va. on March 12, 1941 to John Henderson & Virginia Taylor Leonard. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother James (Jimmy) Leonard. He is survived by his wife Betty Louise Leonard of Galax, Va.; daughter & son-in-law Deborah & Eldon Edmonds of Galax, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Charles & Patricia Leonard of Galax, Va.; Jimmy & Linda Leonard of Fries, Va.; John & Melissa Leonard of Hillsville, Va.; sisters & brothers-in-law Liz & Otey Rector of Galax, Va.; Thelma & Bill Barr of Hillsville, Va.; Kathy & Stanley Carter of Galax, Va.; brother William (Billy) & Norma Leonard of Fries, Va.; six grandchildren; special family memeber Chris Thompson; special care giver James Brown. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 5,2008 at 11:00 am in Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ron Hill & Rev. Don Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Leonard Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from seven until nine at Cliffview Church of God.
