Robert Ford Lawson age 93 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday January 25, 2021 in the Commonwealth Senior Living in Hillsville, Virginia.

Mr. Lawson was born in Carroll County, Virginia on November 14, 1927 to Roy Lafette and Gertie Padgett Lawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Zollie Leonard Lawson; son and daughter-in-law Dallas and Helen Lineberry Lawson; son-in-law Bob Gosnell; brother Mason Lawson and foster sister Bonnie Hill.

He is survived by his daughter Joan Gosnell of Hickory, North Carolina; grandson and wife Martin Ford and Jennifer Lawson of Woodlawn, Virginia; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister-in-law Katheryn Lawson; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Billy Burnette officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the Gambetta Church of Christ.

Mask and social distancing will be required at the graveside service.
