Robert Emmett Jones III, 84, of Ellicott City, MD

Robert, known to family as Robbie and friends as Bob, passed away at home on November 20th.

Robert was born in Galax to Robert Emmett Jones II and Mary Reeves Jones.  He grew up in Virginia before his family settled in Rosedale, MD outside of Baltimore.  Bob graduated from Kenwood High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Baltimore.  He worked for Westinghouse for almost 30 years.  In 1971, he married the love of his life, Nancy and they were happily married for 53 years.  Bob was a dedicated and loving father, husband and grandfather.  One of his favorite things was to spend time with family and friends over a table full of steamed crabs or crab soup and crab cakes.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and his parents.  He is survived by his sister, Mary Anne Gebler, his daughter Kristen Mangus (Tim),  twin sons, Rob Jones and Ryan Jones (Joanna) and a granddaughter.

There will be a visitation at Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home on Friday, November 29th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be Saturday November 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Fries.
