Robert James Isom, Sr. known as Bob Isom age 63 of Fries, Va. passed away Thursday January 4, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born in Carroll County, Va. on July 9, 1943 to the late Orville Andrew & Thelma Lawson Isom. He is survived by his wife Joyce Burcham Isom; daughter & son-in-law Jennifer & Scott Bemis; son & daughter-in-law Robbie & Jeanie Isom all of Fries, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Bill & Charlene Isom of Galax, Va.; three grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; several sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law. The funeral service will be held Sunday January 7, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ron Hill, Rev. D.G. Fox and Rev. Jackie Poe officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at Cliffview Church of God. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Fries Fire Department and Rescue Squad or the Cliffview Church of God.
