Robert Lynn Hicks

Robert Lynn Hicks age 62 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026 at his home.

Robert was born on November 8, 1963 in Marion, Virginia to Merle and Barbara Shores Hicks. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers Roy Stevens and Timothy Stevens.

In addition to his mother Barbara Hicks he is survived by his wife Sonya Hicks of Fries, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Trista and Chris Dudley of Galax, Virginia; Ashley and Richard Willard of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Michelle and Ralphie Eagle of Galax, Virginia; Tammy Laws of Pennsylvania and Sheena Cook of Maryland; sisters Regina Ramsey and Mary Cole both of Fries, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend Kathy Collier.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the New Harvest Christian Worship Center with Pastor Kathy Collier officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church. Robert’s body will then be cremated.
