Robert Henry McKnight better known as Robbie McKnight age 58 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Robbie was born in Tampa, Florida on October 24, 1962 to Charles Eugene McKnight, Sr. and Danish Marie Pennington McKnight.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Eugene McKnight, Jr..

He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Ann Short McKnight of Fries, Virginia; children and spouses April Marie McMillan and Christopher of Independence, Virginia; Robert Christopher McKnight and Tazzi  of Galax Virginia;  Anthony Nicholas DiCandia of Arkansas; nine grandchildren Blake Choate; Ashton Drake McMillan; Levi Michael McMillan; Brailynn McMillan; Adyson McMillian; Aryonna McKnight; Alanna McKnight; Raelyn McKnight and Eghan McKnight;  sisters and brother-in-law Charlene Massey and Michael of South Carolina; Martha McKnight of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Garry McKnight; Barry McKnight and Chama all of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.

Mask and Social Distancing will be required at the graveside service
