Robert Martin Glasco age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Glasco was born in Grayson County, Virginia on February 12, 1939 to Emmett and Nora Brannock Glasco. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Lee Glasco, a grandson Cole Glasco, step-son Alan Burcham and seven siblings.

He proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Donna and Roy Nichols of Low Gap, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Doug and Suzette Glasco of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; step-daughter and husband Melissa and Mark Wilson of Elk Creek, Virginia; granddaughter Sarah Glasco of Mt. Airy ,North Carolina; step-grandsons Anthony Wilson of Independence, Virginia and Ryan Wilson of Elk Creek, Virginia; four step-great-grandchildren; sisters Marlene Ring of Galax, Virginia; Ruby Burnette of Bristol, Virginia; brother Quincy Glasco of Glade Valley, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 12:30 PM in the Edmonds Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
