Robert Gene (Bobby) Lane age 66 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Bobby was born on February 10, 1944 in Martinsville, Virginia to Roscoe Edward and Ruby Lucille Wilson Lane.
He is survived by his wife Vonda Lane of Fries, Virginia; step-daughter Etta Fine of Lexington, North Carolina; brothers Manuel Lane of Fries, Virginia and Freddie Lane of Salisbury, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Virginia with Rev. Tim Bond officiating. The family will receive freinds Friday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
