Robert Ezra Wirt, age 90 of Galax, Virginia, peacefully passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Galax Health and Rehab.

Mr. Wirt was born in Christiansburg, Virginia on May 30, 1932. In addition to his wife Mildred Parks Wirt; he was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Robert Wirt, his mother, Bertha Jane Woolwine and his grandson, Travis Michael Wirt.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Robert Wirt of Galax, Virginia; Oscar "Buddy" Wirt of Dublin; Virginia; his stepdaughter Lisa Parks Galloway of Charlotte, North Carolina; his stepson Mark Jason Parks of Blacksburg, Virginia; grandchildren Kory Wirt, Audrey Wirt, TJ Wirt, Ben Wirt Jr, Michael Galloway, Grace Galloway, Megan Parks, Amanda Parks, and family friend Tony Quesenberry.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 22 ^nd 2022 at 1pm in the Monta Vista Cemetery with  Rev. Sandra McNiel officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. ·
