Robert Elmer Jones better known as Jr. Jones age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Jones was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 23, 1932 to Elmer Clay and Lottie Mae Robinson Jones. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Irene Jones and a sister Agnes Jones.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law Irene Leonard of Salem, Virginia; Alma and Dan Williams; Mary Lou and Roger Edwards all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Rodney Christman and Carl Bowles officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
