Robert L. (Buster) Coomes' Obituary
Robert L. (Buster) Coomes, Jr.. 67, of Galax, VA passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Carroll County, Virginia. He was born in Texas on October 4, 1945 to Robert L. Coomes and Louise Lindsey Coomes.
He Is survived by his wife: Sandra Hackler Coomes, son Michael Shane Coomes, and brother Mike Coomes all of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren: Krista & Justin Ward, Aaron Coomes, Kendra & Kevin McKinnon, Katie Coomes, Colton Coomes, and Caleb Coomes; two great grandchildren Kylie Beth Ward and Mason Parker McKinnon, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the First Baptist Church, Galax, Virginia with Rev. Sam Bartlett and Marvin Williams officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joy Ranch Home for Children, 813 Joy Ranch Road, Woodlawn, VA 24381
