Robert Arthur Bowers age 90 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Bowers was born in Galax, Virginia on October 22,1925.
He is survived by his wife Imogene Bowers; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Dianna S. Bowers all of Galax, Virginia; grandsons Matthew Bowers and Joshua Bowers; great-grandchildren Brady Bowers and Kylie Bowers; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3:30 PM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 210 Franklin Road SW, Room 808, Roanoke, Virginia 24011.
