Rives Frances Hill Smith age 91 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Carroll County, Virginia on Tuesday, January 31, 1922 to Kelvie and Levie Williams Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Smith; sisters Ada Scott, Carrie Crowder, Hattie Hill and Mattie Hill; brothers Ray Hill and Edgar Hill.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Combs of Galax, Virginia; sister Ruby Hill of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Bill Linkous and Rev. Jeff Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home.
