Mrs. Rita P. Edwards of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA
Mrs. Edwards was born December 23, 1926 in Montreal, Canada. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elmon Orben Edwards.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her son Elmon Terrence (Terry) Edwards of Fredricksburg, VA and two grandchildren: Christopher Terrence Edwards and Adrienne Picard Edwards.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church with Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 PM until service time.
