Ricky Alan Wagg, age 64, of Galax, Virginia  passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018 in the Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Mr. Wagg was born March 20, 1954 in Jefferson North Carolina to the late Thomas Straley Wagg and Marilda Mays Wagg. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Ronald Wagg.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Shelly and Daniel Cole of Ennice, North Carolina; April and Adam Bare of Glade Valley,  North Carolina; sons and daughter-in-law: Hunter and Kaitlyn Wagg of Christiansburg,  Virginia and Kevin Eldridge of Sparta, North Carolina; companion Penny Wagg of Sparta;  brothers and sisters-in-law:  Kenneth and Nova Wagg of Galax, Virginia; Mark and Judy Wagg of Laurel Springs North Carolina; grandchildren Danielle and Josh Marshall, Hannah Cole, Noah Cole, Andrea Bare, Katelyn Eldridge, Kason Wagg, Rhett Wagg, and Oliver Wagg; great granddaughter Natalie Marshall.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, special friend Juanita Goad and beloved pet Buddy.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan Guynn Chapel with Pastor Mark Wagg officiating.  Interment will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Military rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726.
