Ricky Gene Morris, age 62, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday April 30, 2021 in Forsyth Medical Center.

Ricky was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 5, 1958 to Gene and Nancy King Morris.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Morris of Galax; sons and daughters-in-law Ryan and Lindsey Morris of Cookeville, Tennessee, Robby and Shanda Morris of Durham, North Carolina; and grandchildren Andrew Morris, Benjamin Morris, Evelynne Morris, Elliott Morris, Asher Morris, Truett Morris, Shepherd Morris, and Penny Morris. Also surviving are his sisters Vicky Alderman, Carol Ann Morris; brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Nancy Morris, all of Hillsville, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 1:00 PM in Galax Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Titus Anderson and Ryan Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until time of the service.
