Rickie Lee Payne age 50 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 in Twin County Regional Hospital.
Rickie was born on May 9, 1961 in Radford, Virginia to Carroll and Ila Faye Harrison Payne.
He is survived by his mother Ila Faye Payne of Woodlawn, Virginia; brothers and sister-in-law Terron and Patricia Payne of Roanoke, Virginia; Carroll Lewis Payne of Los Angeles, California; half-sister and husband Regenia and Paul Garber of Ararat, Virginia; nieces Teresa Garber and Kayla Payne; nephew Paul Garber, Jr..
The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad, 5567 Elkhorn Road, Woodlawn, Virginia 24381.
Rickie served the Pipers Gap Rescue Squad for many, many years.
