Richard Warren Walton age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Walton was born in Tennessee on October 9, 1935 to Marshall & Dora Comer Walton. He is survived by his wife Mary Walton of Galax, Va.; daughters & son-in-law Lori Harmon; Angie & Donald Harmon all of Galax, Va.; sons & daughters-in-law Mark & Jeanie Isaacs of Woodlawn, Va.; Tommy & Donna Haigler of Galax, Va.; sister Peg Mitchell of Troutdale, Va.; sister-in-law Carolyn Bedsaul of Galax, Va.; brothers-in-law Johnny Holderfield & Michael Holderfield both of Galax, Va.; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Bobby Byrd; Margie Sizemore & family and Roger Hoosier. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
