Richard Wayne Redd

Richard Wayne Redd, age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Richard was born in Galax, Virginia on February 20, 1959, to Clifford Wayne and Betty Joe Burnett Redd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Linda Ann Bunn Redd and son Jason Redd.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Nolan Burcham (Melanie): daughters and son-in-law: Stacey Nester (Randy) and Tosha Redd; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ann Bunn (Bobby), Judy Wright, and Lynn Howe (Eagle); grandchildren Crystal, Charlie, Shelter, Logan, Owen, Noe, Layla and Hector; great grandchildren Colton, Josslyn, Sevin and Chance; several nieces; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Popes Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn funeral Home.
