Richard Wayne Long age 65 of Elk Creek, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
Rick was born on January 26, 1950 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was the adopted son of Helen Long.
He is survived by his cousin and wife Philip and Carol Harp of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; niece Eleasa Harp; nephews Gregg Harp and Mike Enos; great-nieces Cailin Carol Barrett and Sydney Grace Harp; and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Jerusalem United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Richard Long Fund, C/O Helen Fielder 306 Fox Run Drive Galax, Virginia 24333.
