Richard Fitzgerald Dickerson age 52 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday May 22, 2023  at his home.

Richard was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 24, 1971 to Walter Henry and Dorothy Mae Hampton Dickerson., Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Dickerson.

He is survived by his wife Nykkie Dickerson; daughters and son-in-law Dunikqua and Benjamin Gambill; Naomie Dickerson and Ava Dickerson all of Galax, Virginia; sons Richard Dickerson II of Galax, Virginia;  Aaron  Dickerson and Adrian Dickerson both of King, North Carolina; sisters and brothers-in-law Melissa Dickerson of Galax, Virginia; Dorothea Dickerson and Saber Muslim of Texas; Gwendolyn McAdoo and Kenny of Greensboro, North Carolina; brothers Walter H. Dickerson, Jr. of Clemmons, North Carolina; Wayne Dickerson of Galax, Virginia;  five grandchildren Donavin Fulton; Davian Fulton; Josephine Gambill; Marceline Porter and Rosline Porter; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Minister Dionne Tucker and Bishop Ethlene Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the Hillcrest Baptist Church.
