Richard "Dick" Carrico, 71, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at his home.
He was born July 27, 1941 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Harvey & Ethel Anders Carrico. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers James and Tom Carrico.

He is survived by his wife: Frankee Rakes Carrico of the home; daughters & sons-in-law: Cindy & Rodney Roberts, Deana & Robin Case all of Galax; four grandchildren Allison Roberts, Jacob Roberts, Taylor Case, and Derek Case. Also surviving are sisters: Pat Bedwell of Galax; Martha McGregor of Colorado;Alice Christiansen of Wisconsin, Rosie Aker of Wytheville; Jane Moore of Liberty Hill; brother Joe Carrico of Providence. In-laws surviving are Vernon Bedwell, Chris Christiansen, Mike Aker, & Freda Carrico.

The funeral service will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Terri Gregory and Rev. Myron Dalton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 PM until time for the service. The interment will be Saturday November 10, 2012 in the Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:00 AM.
