Reva Tompkins Williams age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on January 24, 1930 to John L. Morgan and Eunice Galyean Tompkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters Annie Tompkins, Lillie Mae Woodel and Rosie Newman; brothers Herbert Tompkins; Baine Tompkins and Wayne Tompkins.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law Margaret and Tom Kyle of Galax, Virginia; Melissa and James Joyce of Elk Creek, Virginia; son Richard Williams of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Donald and Lora Jean Tompkins of Galax, Virginia; sister-in-law Barbara Tompkins of Galax, Virginia; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Crab Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
