Regina Diane Bryson Smith of Floyd, VA departed this life at the Carilion New River Medical Center on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

She was born on February 26, 1961 in Galax, Virginia to Conny and Ruby Bryson.  Regina liked spending time with family and friends.  She also loved playing board games, putting puzzles together and playing solitaire, which she could do for hours.  Regina LOVED going to church!  She joined Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church at an early age and attended through early adulthood.  She then enjoyed going to Mount Olive Holiness Church with Pastor Juanita Brown.  She later joined Bethany Baptist Church under Pastor Daryl Beamer where she would sing her songs and give testimonies.  Regina loved being around people, she never met a stranger.  She was full of life and was "all of the things"… demanding, stubborn, funny, feisty and at the same time clever, loving and endearing. If you met her, there's no way you could ever forget her.  Regina truly loved her family and friends.

Survivors include her parents Conny and Ruby Bryson of Woodlawn, VA., two brothers, Phillip Crockett of Woodlawn, VA., Steve (Mable) Bryson of Galax, VA, two sisters, Pamela (Manny) Ingram of Upper Marlboro, MD and Leslie (Jeff) Brown of Galax, VA.  Two Nephews, Patrick Harper and Kristopher Handy and three nieces, Kim Lockwood, Patrice Tabon and Kelli Ingram, one grand nephew and five grand nieces and her caretakers, Ashley and Stacey Hairfield who treated her like their own.  She is also survived by a host of cousins and many close friends.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 12:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Burial will follow in the Glades Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
