Reece Everette Medley age 82 of Ennice, North Carolina passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Medley was born on August 27, 1935 in Alleghany County, North Carolina to Ernest Everette and Osa Mae Johnson Medley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alma Bobbitt Medley and one brother Fred Rufus Medley.

His work life was spent at the Brooks Brother Lumber Yard, Bowling Green, VA and the Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Plant, Galax, VA

He is survived by a daughter Nancy Saul and her husband Billy Ray of Pulaski, Virginia; four grandchildren Kevin Joseph Funk and Teena Alane Lovern; Billy Shawn Saul; Amanda Kelly Nester; two great-grandchildren Emily Skye Lovern and Samantha Lee Lovern; sister Lillie Mae Middlebrook of Ashland, Virginia; brothers Ernest Bert Medley of Bowling Green, Virginia; James Beauford Medley of Fredericksburg, Virginia; Thomas Raymond Medley of Bowling Green, Virginia; several nieces, nephews and special friend Leona Mae Medley of the home.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Nancy Saul and Brother Hugh Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel Glen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
