Rebecca Elizabeth Hamlin age 38 of Dugspur, Virginia passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at her home.
Rebecca was born on April 13, 1975 in Galax, Virginia to Floyd Eugene and Elizabeth Cain Vaughan.
In addition to her mother and step-father Elizabeth and Allen Duncan of Galax, Virginia, she is survived by her husband Prentiss Kendall Hamlin of Dugspur, Virginia; daughters Brooklyn Blankenship and fiance' Jonathan Sturgill of Galax, Virginia; Karen Hamlin of Dugspur, Virginia; son Derek Lineberry of Dugspur, Virginia; step-children Brittany Hamlin, Kimberly Hamlin, Billy Hamlin and Brandon Hamlin; sisters and brothers-in-law Edna and Mike Dye of Galax, Virginia; Cassandra Yelton and Michael Burcham of Woodlawn, Virginia; granddaughter Santanna Blankenship; step-granddaughter Phyllis Duncan; father-in-law and mother-in-law Kendall and Linda Hamlin of Byron, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Roy Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
