Reaves John Norman's Obituary
Reaves John Norman, 82, of Galax, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006 at the Grayson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Independence, VA. Mr Norman was born in Coal Creek Section on August 22, 1924 to Isaac Benton Norman and Liza Anthony Norman.
He is the widower of Laura Jemima Norman.
He is survived by a daughter & son-in-law: Susie & Harold Powell of Galax and a sister Eva Pate also of Galax. Special friends Ronnie, Missy and Cody Snow and Vance Huffman. Several cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister Mallie Edwards.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 o'clock Sunday evening at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Monday, January 1, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Fairlawn Church of Christ with Nelson Gallimore and Bud Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
