Raymond June Catron age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 2,2021 at his home.

Mr. Catron was born on February 22,1931 in Galax, Virginia to Robert and Nannie Dixon Catron. In  addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Rosa Lee Akers, Anna Lou McCreary, Rodger Catron and Autry Catron.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Catron; daughters and sons-in-law Marsha and Joe McCraw; Camilla and Paul Edwards; son  Duane Catron and Donna all of Galax, Virginia; a special grandson Westley Catron; sister-in-law Christine Catron of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; brothers-in-law and spouse Bill McCreary of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Virgil and Wannie Donithan; Roy Lee Truitt all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Ted Anders officiating. Burial will be private for the family. A guestbook for signing and memorials will be available on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family respectfully request no food or visits to the home.
