Raymond Phipps Bartlett, 86 of Trinity, North Carolina and formerly of Galax passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at his home. Mr. Bartlett was born December 25, 1926 in Grayson County to the late Samuel Earl Bartlett and Ethel Williams Bartlett.

He is survived by his wife Iris Bartlett of the home; three sisters and brother-in-law: Burlene Burnett and Arlene and Junior Roberts all of Galax; Edna McMickle Hendricks of High Point, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law: Elmer and Hazel Bartlett of Galax. Several nieces, nephews and relatives also survive.

The funeral service will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Mount Pisgah Church of Christ in Galax with James Percival and Marvin Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday September 15, 2013 from 6 until 8:00 PM at the church.

Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by Grayson VFW Post #7726.
