Ray Ralph Burnette age 70 of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, February 16, 2009 at his home. Ray was born on December 1, 1938 in Carroll County, Va. to George Monroe & Mittie Coulson Burnette. He is survived by his wife Inez Lineberry Burnette of Galax, Va.; sons & daughter-in-law David Ray & Jennifer Burnette of Hillsville, Va.; Jeffrey Scott Burnette of Galax, Va.; granddaughters Misti Burnette; Ashleigh Burnette; Leslie Burnette; grandson Levi Burnette; great-grandchildren Dezirae Rodrigue and Chandler Perry; sister Sharon Swain of Galax, Va.; brother & sister-in-law Roy Lee & Linda Burnette of Galax, Va.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at the Coulson Church of Christ. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Coulson Church of the Brethren with Rev Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery.
