Randy "Smoke" Ray Cox, 58, of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday July 17, 2019 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. Cox was born September 19, 1960 in Galax, Virginia to the late Joe and Mary Igo Cox.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Blanch Hawkins and brother Dan Cox.

Randy is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Daniel and Shelby Cox of Galax; grandsons Boone and Bryar; sisters and brothers-in-law: Joyce Reedy; Betty and Jackie Martin; Kathy and Paul Walls; brother and sister-in-law: Don and Helen Cox all of Baywood. A special friend Tina Price and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan Guynn Chapel with Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow in the Galyean Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday evening (July 19, 2019) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
