Ralph Winesett age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 28, 2012 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Winesett was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 9, 1927 to Louis Eli and Grace Elizabeth Liddle Winesett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mattie Adkins and brothers Junior Winesett; Billy Winesett and Rex Winesett.

Mr. Winesett proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife Mozelle Winesett of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and John E. Dickenson of Independence, Virginia; step-grandchildren Molly Ann Humphrey of Meadowview; William E. and Hope Dickenson of Fries, Virginia; two step-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Pauline Davis; Iva Dell and Roy Moser; Betty and C.E. Frost all of Galax, Virginia; brothers Burton Winesett of Savannah, Georgia; Roger Winesett of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Vale United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Callahan and Rev. Ted Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at Mt. Vale United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mt. Vale United Methodist Church.
