Ralph Hardin Spencer, 70, of Galax passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Waddell Nursing Home, Galax, Virginia. He was born in Pulaski, Virginia to the late George W. and Dorothy E. Craft Spencer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law: Norma and Bill Leonard, Bonnie Aldred, June and Howard Billings and brother Buster Spencer and niece Tammy Billings.


He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: George and Brenda Spencer of Galax; nephews and their spouses Robert and Patty Billings, Donnie and Elsie Billings; nieces and their spouses Cindy and Sean Parsons, Angie and Brandon Jones, Teresa and Junior Turner, Missy Aldred, and Sharon Billings. Six great nieces and three great grand nieces and nephews and special friend Larry Billings also survive.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 11:00 AM with Junior Bullion officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, Dublin, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
