Quinton Chester Turner's Obituary
Quinton Chester Turner, age 87, of Woodlawn, VA died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax.
Mr. Turner was born in Carroll County, VA, Feb. 5, 1923 to Palmer Frank and Mary F. Gray Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Turner, sons and daughters-in-law, Quinton, Jr. and Tsuyako Turner, Pampano Beach, FL and Donnie and Janie Turner, Draper, VA, daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Charles Andrews, Hollywood, FL and Barbara Scott, Miami, FL. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a special great-grandson, Ryan Thomas Prewitt, Hillsville, VA and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Officiating minister will be the Rev. Gloria Rhudy. There will be no visitation. Military rites will be held at the gravesite by Hillsville VFW Post #1115. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, VA is in charge of arrangements.
