Posey Green Bobbitt known as P.G. Bobbitt age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Forsyth Medical Center.
Mr. Bobbitt was born on September 16, 1938 in Carroll County, Virginia to Posey Green Bobbitt, Sr. & Florence Lawson Bobbitt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Natalie Evon Bobbitt; sisters Beatrice Golding; Bertha Woodruff & Cora Puckett; brothers Hobert Bobbitt & Elmer Bobbitt.
He is survived by his wife Rubye Cox Bobbitt of Galax, Va.; daughter Tammy Brannock of Galax, Va.; twin granddaughters Tiffany & Candis Brannock; sisters & brother-in-law June & Arnold Hanks of Cana, Va.; Hazel Sumner & Patsy Seal both of Mt. Airy, N.C.; sisters-in-law Louise Bobbitt of Galax, Va.; Erna Jean Bobbitt of Mt. Airy, N.C.; several nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Rev. Joe Carrico will be officiating. Burial will be Friday, April 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm in Oakland Cemetery.
