Phyllis Ann Edwards Shupe age 67 of Mt. Airy, North Carolina passed away Friday, December 5, 2025  at her home.

Phyllis was born in Galax, Virginia on February 8, 1958 to Reece Lynn and Eula Frances Anderson Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Lee Shupe.

She is survived by two daughters Amy Cooke (Randy) of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; April Young (David Day) of Hamptonville, North Carolina; two sisters Sandy Nester (Tim); Lois Harris (Michael) all of Galax, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Marvin Edwards (Angela) of Fries, Virginia; four grandchildren Brandie Watson (Zane); Coner Cooke (Andrea); Jacob Poole (Brooke); Brook Cooke; one great-granddaughter Katie Poole; three step-grandchildren Ariel Sprinkle (Jared); Ayden Day; Austin Day; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday December 10, 2025 at 2:00PM in the Crooked Creek Community Church with Jeff Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until time for the funeral service at the Crooked Creek Community Church.
