Phyllis Rebecca Galyean Leonard age 75 of Galax, Va. passed away Sunday December 25, 2006 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Floyd County, Va. on April 30, 1931 to the late Akers & Emma Boyer Galyean. She is survived by her husband Floyd Leonard; sons & daughters-in-law Dixie E. & Mimi S. Leonard; James Mitchell & Shelby J. Leonard all of Galax, Va.; brother Dick Galyean of Christiansburg, Va.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 PM in Leonard Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald White & Rev. Lawrence Nuckolls officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the M.S. Society of Leonard Memorial United Methodist Church.
