Phyllis Marie Fields Sawyers, 47, of 624 Givens Street, Galax, VA passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at her home. She was born June 28, 1960 in Martinsville, VA to Lonnie & Lannie Fields.
She is survived by her husband: Ricky Sawyers of the home; a daughter: Crystal Renae Sossoman, Bluff City, Tennessee; two sons: Anthony Sawyers of Galax, VA; Bobby Sossoman of Elizabethton, Tennessee; a step son, Ricky Sawyers, Jr. of Galax, VA.
Four sisters & brothers-in-law: Wanda & Paul Turner of Galax, VA; Bonnie Sammy Deal of Bassett, VA; Dorothy Robertson of Bassett,VA; Janice Carrico of Galax, VA. Four brothers & sisters-in-law: Robert & JoAnn Fields of Bassett, VA; David & Sylvia Fields; Benny Fields and Danny Fields all of Galax, VA; mother-in-law: Frances Sawyers also of Galax, VA.. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 6, 2008, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 2:00 pm
in the Full Gospel Revival Center with Rev. Sam Kinzer officiating. Interment will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery, Galax, VA.
