Phyllis Sue Brewer age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 in the Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery.

Phyllis was born in Hillsville, Virginia on October 15, 1958 to Ernest and Ruby Spencer Burcham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Brewer.

She is survived by her daughter Jeannie Adams; life partner Mark Crews all of Galax, Virginia; sister Mary Jo Burkhart Moore of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren Ethan Lail and Elizabeth "Ellie Mae" Lail; special friends Jan "Sis" and Roy Lee Bedsaul.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Billy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
