Phoebe Dooley Byrd age 67 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.

Phoebe was born On February 24, 1950 in Superior, Nebraska to Russell and Minnie Purcell Dooley.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Gene Byrd; daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Eddie Bond all of Fries, Virginia; step-granddaughter Hannah Blankenship; sisters and brother-in-law Debbie Dooley of Independence, Virginia; Betty and James Benfield of Lenoir, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law Melvin and Janet Dooley of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Thomas and the Rev. Lee Houston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Atkins Memorial United Methodist Church.
