Phillip Carlton
Pack
April 22, 1963 – February 2, 2024
Phillip Carlton Pack, 60, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his wife and children after a long battle with cancer.
Phil was born April 22, 1963 in Surry County, North Carolina to Elizabeth Ann Goings Pack and the late Carlton Marion Pack. After attending Surry Community College, he went on to build a successful business in farming and evergreen. Phil would always comment that he never worked a day in his life because of his love for the type of work he was blessed to do.
Phil married the love of his life, Robin in 1991, and they resided in Grayson County, VA. Survivors include his wife, Robin Weaver Pack; his children, Austin Bailey Pack and Sierra of Orlando, FL; Caleb Samuel Pack and Faith of Sparta, NC; and Carleigh Pack Agee and Cale of Roanoke, VA ; his four grandchildren, Reeves Samuel and Russell Grady Pack, Grayson Philip and Rory Holden Pack. Phil had many special family members and close friends that were too abundant to list. He was preceded in death by his father Carl Pack and two special cousins, Greg Goings and Butch Goings.
Phil grew up actively attending Central View Baptist Church. He professed his life to Christ while attending Mt. Vale United Methodist Church with his wife and children. Phil enjoyed anything that involved the outdoors but his biggest passion was grouse hunting with English Setters. He was also very active in local sports where he coached and managed a local AAU program for many years. Phil was very committed to spending time with his family and friends, especially his kids and grandkids.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Mt. Vale United Methodist Church. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
